Dealing with Rejection: Do’s and Don’ts (with Quotes)
REJECTION QUOTES ARE A GREAT WAY TO COPE WITH REJECTION.
Have you witnessed the painful unwanted or unappreciated feeling from rejection? The anger, self-pity, sadness, and confusion you feel. In the process, you realize that no one should have that kind of power over you. And how rejection quotes can help.
No matter what form of rejection you come across, it still leaves a dent in your spirit.
Rejection is to refuse to accept, consider, submit to, and take for some purpose or use.
Experiencing rejection is not the big issue because it’s inevitable. The issue is how an individual chooses to cope with rejection. Understanding the Dos and the Don’ts of rejection can make coping easier. Also, nothing helps more than rejection quotes.
RELATIONSHIP REJECTION
The all too familiar relationship rejection.
Relationship rejection is a feeling that most individual can relate. That feeling you experience when the person is no longer interested in you. Or after you finally find the courage to ask someone out and they say “no”.
Being denied and refused by someone, not only stabs you in your heart but your spirit.
That feeling then has a tendency to invade your life and disturb your happy place.
Let’s say that you’re in the situation where everything appears to be going great in you love life. You and your guy have wonderful conversations over the phone. He has met your friends and family.
And excitement arises every time you see him.
Things between you two are going great right? Wrong!
Yet, out of the blue, there is a complete 180 change in your relationship. All a sudden he only answers some of your calls. He makes excuses for what he does or doesn’t do and lives for arguments.
Next, he approaches you with….umm, I didn’t know how to tell you this but…. this is not going to work. Not going to work? Do you feel that stab in your heart?
You begin to wonder. Why, how? And your shattered heart keeps reliving the scenario. Is it someone else? What did I do?
Side note: this is not my story. Okay, you got me. Yes, it was.
Rejection.
“I don’t want anyone who doesn’t want me.”― Oprah Winfrey
REJECTION COPING STRATEGIES:
You recount a painful situation over and over in your mind wonder what you did wrong.
How could I have avoided this? If there’s something that you could have changed? Or if I could have done something differently? Am I not good enough? DON’T BLAME YOURSELF
The problem with the blame game is that it can affect the perception you have of yourself. You will begin to look inward and find faults. And worst you will begin to underestimate your self-worth. DON’T NEVER UNDERESTIMATE YOUR WORTH!
Instead, give yourself a time frame to let it burn and move on. Yes, burn as Usher says “let it burn”.
Even though this might bruise you
Let it burn
Let it burn
Gotta let it burn
Deep down, you know it’s best for yourself, but you
Hate the thought of her being with someone else
But you know that it’s over
We knew it was through
Let it burn
Let it burn
Gotta let it burn
If you don’t move forward and let it pass then it can cause you to become guarded.
DON’T let the rejection from others define who you are.
DON’T blame YOU!
DO focus more on what YOU want.
DO learn how to strengthen relationships.
DO understanding yourself and what personalities you’re compatible with.
