Make Time to Focus on YOU
As Moms, you often get so caught up in the everyday hustle of life that sometimes we forget to take care of ourselves.
You know when your kid’s doctor’s physical, sports, and needs are all taken care of but when someone asks when the last time you have a physical, you stop and think.
I know because I get it…currently my eye doctor is hounding me to get a check-up, but I am like I don’t have time for that when there is so much to do.
We can’t be so busy that we don’t take the time out to drill down to our own needs and desires or hone in on our goals.

Create a Vision Board geared to What you Want your Life to Look Like
What is your Why?
Well, this year I promise myself to do more for me too and to love me too. And one thing that has to help me dream big and push towards my goals is my WHY.
See your Why is the reason the goal is the end line and the little this in-between helps you get there like your vision board, affirmations, support groups, and grit.
"Why do naturally talented people frequently fail to reach their potential while other far less gifted individuals go on to achieve amazing things? The secret to outstanding achievement is not talent, but a passionate persistence. In other words, grit".- Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance
Start by Setting your Goals
But the goals you need to set must be bigger than physical objects. You want to be sure the reason for setting goals gives you the end result you are looking for.
Don’t just say “I want 1 million dollars so I can be rich”. Instead, ” I would like to money to provide the tools I need to be happy, balanced, and have freedom.”
See people believe that money would provide happiness, but you must understand what makes you happy in the first place.
To be even more clear what is it you are looking for in your life and how will you know when you’re happy?
A vision board is an easier way to tap into the life you want to live without only determining a dollar amount or only physical attainments.
Tap Into Your Core Values
Another thing you need to do when you’re making a vision board is figuring out what your values are.
This is more than just the physical objects that you want, these are the things that makeup who you are and what makes you happy.
For example, if my core values include health, love, and freedom.
Then my vision board would reflect the things that are important to me.
Health: I value staying healthy so I can continue living and pursuing my life’s purpose. Love: I value love because without it we would be lost and feel unfulfilled. Freedom: I value freedom so we can pursue our dreams and lead fulfilling lives. I would add an image and quotes that taps into each feeling.
To put this into perspective, I am creating a board that represents MY dream and not society’s goals.
Creating a vision board is the best way to express your true self you’re actually building something that puts your wants, needs, and desires in the forefront so you can create your dream life.
The best way to tap into your core values is by listing them out on paper and put 5-10 that truly resonate with you.
Note: If Your Vision Doesn’t Include You, It’s Not a True Purpose: Everyone wants happiness and success but how many actually take the time to figure out what will make themselves happy?
When it comes down to it, most people are too busy focusing on everyone else rather than themselves.
This is an important step because if your goal isn’t something you want why would you do it? How could you manifest it? How can you create a happy life when you are not on your OWN path?

Get Clear on Your Purpose
It is impossible to be clear on what you want if you don’t know what you value and the purpose.
If you don’t know your purpose in life then use the board to bring clarity.
This is what makes your board powerful & effective. It’s a representation of the things that are important to you outside and within.
Related: Start by listing out at least 10 things that would best describe who you are and what makes you happy.
Once you have your list this is the fun part.

What is a Vision Board and How Does it Work?
A vision board is a process of creating a place with pictures, images, and affirmations to help you drive intention to your life and narrow down your desires. It helps you map out a clear direction.
By simply investing your time to create a vision board, you are also visualizing your future. Some people also refer to it as a dream board or goal board.
A vision board is a constant reminder of your life goals, and the collage helps motivate and inspire you to attain those goals.
Your dreamboard may be used to represent financial abundance. Or a Spiritual connection you may be trying to obtain.
It’s used in the Law Of Attraction.
Why Should You make a Vision Board?
Making a vision board is a powerful way to take all the things you want in life and focus on the ones that really make a difference. So you can define and obtain the keys to success.
You can create one large board for your overall life or have boards for different sections of your life.
For example, you may have one for Career, which will have words like Boss, freedom to work anywhere, and images of a home office.
The things on the board reflect how you want the career aspect of your life to look.
Or you can base your manifestation board on a timeframe. So you may create one every year or every three years.
I recommend creating a vision board that doesn’t span out over three years because once you start acquiring the things off the board, then the board is done.
So if in 1 year you manifest the entire board then you can create another one next year.
Furthermore, you want to be proud of yourself, so seeing your accomplishments come true would boost your confidence.
The basic idea of this strong technique of focusing on your life in these specifics is to call the universe’s attention to your aspirations. And, most importantly, remove any negative energy from your existence. And use visualization because it helps navigate things towards you.
