As Moms, you often get so caught up in the everyday hustle of life that sometimes we forget to take care of ourselves.
You know when your kid’s doctors physical, sports, and needs are all taken care of but when someone asks when the last time you have a physical, you stop and think.
I know because I get it…currently my eye doctor is hounding me to get a check-up, but I am like I don’t have time for that when there is so much to do.
We can’t be so busy that we don’t take the time out to drill down to our own needs and desires or hone in on your goals.

Focus on your Dreams
What is your Why?
Well, this year I promise myself to do more for me too and to love me too. And one thing that has to help me dream big and push towards my goals is my WHY.
See your Why is the reason the goal is the end line and the little this in-between helps you get there like your vision board, affirmations, support groups, and grit.
Why do naturally talented people frequently fail to reach their potential while other far less gifted individuals go on to achieve amazing things? The secret to outstanding achievement is not talent, but a passionate persistence. In other words, grit.- Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance
Set Goals
But the goals you need to set must be bigger than physical objects. You want to be sure the reason for setting goals give you the end result you are looking for.
Don’t just say “I want 1 million dollars so I can be rich”. Instead, ” I would like to money to provide the tools I need to be happy, balanced, and have freedom.”
See people believe that money would provide happiness, but you must understand what makes you happy in the first place.
To be even more clear what is it you are looking for in your life and how will you know your happy?
A vision board is an easier way to tap into the life you want to live without only determining a dollar amount or only physical attainments.

A vision board is a process of creating a place with pictures, images, and affirmations to help you drive intention to your life and narrow down your desires.

A vision board is the constant reminder of your life goals, and the collage helps motivate and inspire you to attain those goals.

Why Create a Vision Board & How it Works
Creating a vision board is a powerful way to take all the things you want in life and focus on the ones that really make a difference. So you can define and obtain the keys to success.
You can create one large board for your overall life or have boards for different sections of your life.
For example, you may have one for Career, which will have words like Boss, freedom to work anywhere, and images of a home office.
The things on the board reflect how you want the career aspect of your life to look.
Or you can base your vision board on a timeframe. So you may create one every year or every three years.
I recommend creating a vision board that doesn’t span out over three years because once you start acquiring the things off the board, then the board is done.
So if in 1 year you manifest the entire board then you can create another one next year. Besides you want to feel accomplished, so seeing things come off would add more belief.
The powerful process of focusing on your life in this details awaken the universe about your dreams. And remove the negative energy from your life.
The vision board is coupled with visualization because it helps navigate things towards you.

You can create a DIY vision board in a little as a couple of hours.
I got my 5-year-old daughter her own vision board so she can cut, glue, and goal setting with me.
It was a fun bonding time, and it let me see what her goals were and things she focused on.
She loves gymnastics, so I printed out some gymnastic silhouettes of girls doing different poses! And I went to the dollar store to grab some girl boss stickers for her board.
Ok so, here is what you need to DIY a vision board:
- Any kind of board, poster, notebook
- Magazines or other printed material ( i used the internet and vision board words)
- Scissors
- Tape, glue, pins (depending on the type of the board)
- Arts and Crafts (Markers, stickers, crayons, decorative elements to make it nice)
- Things that inspire you ( words, images, quotes)
- Quotes and affirmations that make you feel special

Creating A Dream Board Online
Online Board
Making your vision board online, on the other hand, has pros and cons.
You won’t have to look for supplies, and you will save tons of time. But, you will need to make sure it’s somewhere you can see it often, or you will forget about it.
I created a vision board online using Canva in the image above & my vision board on Pinterest under a secret board.
I was fun and took about 30 mins to pin everything into the board. But, I rarely ever remember to go and look at it so it’s not manifesting as it should.
So instead, I printed the images from my Pinterest vision board and placed it on my poster board.
Now I have two.
