How to Find Inspiration: 15 simple things to try
“When you think about quitting, remember how much you accomplished by not giving up.”
1. Ground Yourself

Using grounding yourself exercises is a great way to eliminate distractions and give your brain a chance to restore itself.
For example, a quick walk in the park kicking leaves or rocks can spark your creative juices and allow you to be present at the moment.
Pay attention to detail that you usually miss, such as bugs crawling on the ground, leaves blowing in the wind, sounds of birds chirping, and the weather on your skin.
Grounding at home involves sitting on the floor or walking barefoot in front of the house.
2. Listen to Inspiring Music
Listen to music that you may not normally listen to and see if it inspires you. Or make a playlist of your favorite songs from each year.
Pick a hero song. You know the song that you listened to in the past that gets you pump. It could be a song from childhood or one you found that makes you feel powerful.
For example, mines would include Alicia Keys – No one, Beyoncé who runs the world, Rihanna Work, and I love telling Alexa to play pop for meditation.
3. Go Inward for Inspiration

I know in the world we live in today, life is always moving. Our brains are always ON, and we take the moments of the piece to watch TV or scroll through our phones.
But what if you are silencing your inner guide and killing your inspiration by never tapping into you?
Challenge: Take a moment to sit silently, breathe, and be still. For how long? Set your timer for 10 mins and breathe so you can connect with yourself and shut out the noise in your life. For tips on how to get started, read How to Meditate.
4. Switch Gears
So you can be burnt out from constantly doing the same thing over and over, and you lost your spark.
Instead of trying to motivate yourself to do something you really don’t feel like doing, do something new or completely different.
For example, when launching my, I Am Her: Unchained, Centered, and Focused Program, I completely burnt myself out with the emails, posting to social media, FB challenges, and writing content. I was done.
Instead of forcing myself to find inspiration to blog or create content again, I started to remodel the house and focus more on house decor. This helped me take a break from the usual and find inspiration while moving a sofa.
Now don’t switch gears too long because it can become a long-term distraction from you being productive.
So challenge your brain so you can get inspired.
- Learn a new language
- make a dish you never made
- paint a picture following someone on Youtube
- Have the kids teach you how to play a video game

Which tips do you have to get inspired?
Common Question For Finding Inspiration
How do you find motivation and inspiration?
You can find motivation and inspiration in almost everything in life. Most people find inspiration in driving, shower, washing dishes, or some other routine task.
I have suddenly lost all my motivation to do anything. How do I break out of it?
Take a break from your normal routine and try something different. Possibly you lost motivation and feel inspired because something happens like rejection, failure, or unexpected results, which made you pull into your shell to avoid feeling uncomfortable. I would suggest taking a break and looking back over the weeks to dial into the cause. Or, you may be burnt out.
Why inspiration matters?
Inspiration gives you a personal drive to want more and does better. Inspiration gives you the creativity to write, create music, set goals, and stay motivated.
Is motivation and inspiration the same thing?
Motivation is an external drive usually goal-oriented whereas inspiration in the internal drive the increasing positivity toward such task. You can be motivated to get something done so you can check it off your to-do list. If you are inspired to do something, then it’s a natural drive that can also motivate you.
