Mom’s Journey to Becoming an Intuitive Coach [Purpose and Fulfillment]
As a mom, it’s easy to get lost in the chaos and demands of daily life. I found myself struggling to balance taking care of my family while also pursuing my own passions.
A lot of us often forget our own purpose and what makes us happy. We get caught up in being a mom and a partner and often forget about ourselves.
I, too, was lost and needed guidance and purpose in my life. This is how I started Famleeof Four in 2016 – a blog to aid moms like myself in finding fulfillment and purpose.
After I started my blog, Famleeof Four, I began to find my purpose and align myself with my goals. Along the way, I learned to listen to my intuition and embrace my spiritual gifts. In this blog post, I want to share my journey with you in the hopes that it may inspire other moms to do the same.

How it Started:
When I first became a mom, I was overwhelmed by the responsibilities and expectations that came with the role. I felt like I had lost myself and didn’t know how to regain my sense of purpose. There was too much to do in too little time. I knew I wanted major growth, and I had to manage to make it far in life despite my physically and emotionally traumatic childhood.
My blog became a space for me to connect with other moms and share the resourceful and resilient tendency that helped me attend college, graduate school with a kid, and move out of my home state.
Just a way for me to rediscover my passions and find fulfillment outside of motherhood, employee, friend, and wife.
However, as I got deeper into the world of blogging and entrepreneurship, I realized that I was leaning heavily on masculine energy. I was trying to gain control and make things happen instead of also listening to my intuition and trusting the Universe….. feminine energy. I ignored my spiritual gifts because I didn’t see their place in the world of logic, strategy, and doubters. But deep down, I knew that there was more to me than just my logical mind.

It wasn’t until I had a huge spiritual awakening in 2019 that I began to truly embrace my intuition and spiritual gifts. I realized that my intuition had been trying to communicate with me all along, but I wasn’t listening except for the intuitive knowing I had about my kids.
I succumbed to doubt and confusion and often felt overwhelmed, but my intuition allowed me to reconnect with my true self and start walking on the path toward my purpose. My intuition was guiding me one step at a time, even when I didn’t know where I was headed.
As I continued to listen to my intuition, I started to see the impact it had on my life. I made decisions that felt aligned with my purpose and brought me joy. I learned to trust that the Universe had my back and that everything was happening for me, not to me. I even started another blog InspiredbyDarla.com to incorporate my spiritual gifts into my blog and coaching work, and it’s been incredible to see the positive impact it’s had on others.
One of the things that I wish I had done differently is to trust myself more. Trusting my intuition even when it doesn’t make sense would have saved me from a lot of confusion and doubts that I had along the way. I would recommend to all moms who might be going through a challenging time to listen to their intuition and trust themselves.
How Listening to My Inner Voice Saved My Family
Growing up in a single-mom home, I never believed in finding true love or getting married. It wasn’t on my radar at all. I was content with focusing on myself and my education, and that was it. Until one day in 2004, I met my husband while visiting my mom, who was also stationed in Germany(military). We clicked instantly, and even though I didn’t realize it at the time, my intuition was leading me toward my future.

After our son was born in 2007, he began experiencing severe breathing problems. The doctors dismissed it as allergies, but I knew deep down there was something more. I trusted my intuition and persisted in finding answers. With the guidance of my intuition and spiritual team, I found an ENT specialist who discovered my son had adenoids and enlarged tonsils that needed to be removed immediately to prevent sleep apnea, which could result in DEATH. This experience taught me the power of being persistent and trusting my intuition in the face of skepticism.
As my children grew older, I continued to listen to my intuition. My daughters both had allergies that were dismissed, so I became an advocate for their health. I searched for alternative treatments and remedies, and now my daughters are thriving. Additionally, my youngest daughter has eczema, and I realized that merely treating her symptoms wasn’t enough. My intuition helped me find the root of the problem – tons of allergies and topical steroid withdrawal (TSW) – which has since led to the clearing of her skin (still not fully healed), but I will keep pushing for more answers.
My intuition has guided me in ways that I can’t even explain, helping me connect with my spiritual team and even other realms through dreams and downloads from God. I realized that most people are stuck because they are disconnected from themselves and put too much trust in others without empowering themselves. My journey has led me to embrace all aspects of myself without fear, including my empathic nature and intuitive thoughts.
As I was learning to listen to my intuition, I began noticing that most people don’t trust themselves. They’re disconnected from their inner voice, and instead, they put too much faith in others. It’s common for people to seek validation from external sources when, in reality, their intuition is the true guide they should follow. This awareness inspired me to create a space for like-minded individuals to connect with their intuition, where they can gain clarity and insight into their own lives.
My family’s health issues have served as a catalyst for me to become a spiritual guide. One thing that I’ve learned is that there are different ways to connect to our intuition. Dreams, empathic feelings, and intuitive thoughts are just a few ways our intuition communicates with us. It’s essential to be open to these different methods to tap into our inner voice and gain the insights we need. My coaching practice is founded on this truth – teaching individuals how to awaken their intuition so that they can trust the inner voice that guides them toward their goals.
